Musician Edward J. Powley created a wonderful set of shimmering generative pieces.
"For each track, a few thousand iterations of Conway's Game of Life were used to choose notes to play through a bank of plucked string synths. The resulting wav files were then processed in Adobe Audition to make them a bit easier on the ears."
